PMBOK Guide: Fourth Edition in 2009

As you may be aware, the Project Management Institute (PMI) is updating several standards during 2009:
- PMBOK® Guide 4.0
- The Standard for Program Management – Second Edition
- The Standard for Portfolio Management – Second Edition
- OPM3® Second Edition
- The Practice Standard for Project Risk Management
- The Practice Standard for Scheduling
The background is that the current version of PMI’s PMP exam expires June 30th 2009.
After that, the new exam will conform to the PMBOK® Guide 4.0, the new version.
Please take this in consideration if you are going to enroll for a class to get PMP or if you need to prolong your certification!

Since Feb.2008, the LinkIn Group Open Project Manager Connection has now reached more than 500 members around the globe.
Additionally, the Discussion Board at LinkIn has started and is open for members.
This is a great success - thanks to all who have already subscribed.
This independed Web-Site has now reached ~200 members around the world.
PM Report v3.11 released
Submitted by RaRi on Mon, 27/10/2008 - 13:58.After some bug findings and after receiving some nice ideas to implement, the new PM Report is available for download now.
The Worksheet "Timetable" is now hooked to the worksheet "Gantt", which will automatically create a chart with new added tasks and, as a feature, will automatically set the chart time scales.
Again, some major enhancements are done and I fixed some macro problems as well.

Just try it out .. any feedback is welcome.

How to publish an article ..

Did you know ..
that you can publish own articles quite easy within the Open PM Connection Web-Site!
All you need to do is to navigate to the menu Personalization. Then follow to Create Content.
Now just klick on Publication, enter your title and your article. That's it.
A full WYSIWYG helps you to enter and to format your text. If necessary, you can enhance the input window by
moving your mouse to the lower right corner, pressing the left mouse button an resize the input window.
Most of the other icons should be well know, but by clicking on 
you will get more information.
